OO O Oh, my Buda! PROUD of Buda!

OO O Oh, my Buda! PROUD of Buda! is a co-design project where stakeholders, citizens and visitors of the Buda island in Kortrijk under the supervision of a team of six designers (Hilde Bouchez, Cindy van den Bremen, Aline Nyrinck, Pieter Michiels, Lotte van Wulfften Palthe, and Annelies Vaneycken) worked together to develop new creative possibilities for the Buda island district in Kortrijk. The 6 months participatory process included various co-design sessions and an exhibition where the new possibilities were further discussed and resulting in a proposal for the policymakers of the municipality of Kortrijk.

This project was initiated by Designregio Kortrijk within the framework of the EU project PROUD (People Re-searchers Organisations Using Design for Co-creation and Innovation), Interreg IVB, NWE and received financial support from Designregio Kortrijk, the municipality of Kortrijk, the European Interreg IVB project PROUD and the province of West-Flanders, 2013.
